This super cool Tele feels great to play, and gets some fantastic tones.
Replacing the standard single-coil Tele neck pickup with a Wide Range Fender humbucker, the '72 Custom affords players a hotter, more gain-laden tone while still able to nail that Telecaster twang via the bridge pup. Finished with vintage appointments like the skirted knobs and three-way pickup shoulder switch, this model remains one of the company's most successful runs in the Classic Series.
The condition is really good throughout. There are no breaks, cracks or repairs and no significant cosmetic issues at all. There are a couple of very minor dings to the reverse of the body and a few more around the body, but they are barely noticeable. There are light pick scratches to the scratchplate. The finish has lightened slightly in places on the headstock. The frets are in good shape.
