We love this super rare Jazzmaster in stunning Shell Pink! Originally a CME Exclusive in the US, only 25 were ever shipped to Europe for sale at one UK retailer, guitarguitar, so they don’t come up very often. Furthermore, it is a 75th Fender 75th Anniversary model, comes with pickups normally reserved for Fender’s USA lines and is in excellent condition throughout. A beautiful and rare beast for sure.
This exclusive take on the Player Jazzmaster features a number of subtle and clever appointments that make it a great choice for tinkerers, or just those looking for a high quality, affordable instrument. Electronically, it features Pure Vintage '65 Jazzmaster pickups, long used on the high-end American Vintage series Jazzmaster, as well as a four-way pickup selector that switches the pickups between being wired in series or parallel (similar to features on the American Ultra series), unlocking wide tonal variety.
It features a C shaped neck which uses Fender’s standard 9.5” ‘in-between’ fingerboard radius and 22 Medium Jumbo frets for a feel that’s contemporary without trying to be inappropriately cutting edge. The bridge, always a bugbear/labour of love for Jazzmaster owners, has been upgraded to an improved six-saddle model, along with the famous Jazzmaster tremolo tailpiece,
Underneath the pickguard, it comes pre-routed for the typical Jazzmaster control wheels and rhythm/lead switch, a great mod for those interested in a little soldering work. Add a painted Olympic White headstock and a unique colourway to the equation, and this Exclusive Player Jazzmaster becomes one of the pound-for-pound highlights of the Fender line.
This beautiful Jazzmaster is in excellent condition throughout. There are very few signs of use at all and there is little to distinguish it from a new instrument. The frets are in great shape.
