This beautiful guitar was handmade in York by PJD guitars, who are renowned for the exceptional build quality of their instruments.
The guitar has seen very little in the way of playing and is in excellent condition with little discernable playwear at all.
At just 6.25lbs, this lightweight, bolt-on constructed guitar consists of an Obeche body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include aged Gotoh Vintage Tuners and Tune-O-Matic bridge, a Bigsby B50 tremolo system, a Wadfather Humbucker in the bridge position and a Parkins Cream P90 pickup in the neck position.
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the Standard ‘C’ neck profile feels incredibly ergonomic, allowing for great thumb placement all across the neck, whilst the Nitrocellulose finish provides effortless transitions. The Maple fingerboard and frets provide a robust playing experience that feels rock solid under the fingers, whilst enhancing string bending and vibrato techniques at speed. The 10” Radius provides an even and balanced feel across the strings, aiding in even tension across the string and up and down register. The single-cutaway body design provides the player with unobstructed access to the higher frets, whilst the light weight aids with comfort in both standing and seating positions.
The Wadfather Humbucker bridge pickup provides a fat and punchy humbucker-like sound, making power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle position provides bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The Parkins Cream P90 neck pickup offers a smooth, warm, rounded tone that handles distorted tones as well as it handles clean tones. The control layout on the guitar also allows the player to dial in their own sound easier with the simplistic layout, offering a variety of tones all at the fingertips.
