This beautiful guitar is a custom order from September 2024 from York based PJD guitars, who are renowned for the exceptional build quality of their instruments.
This custom order St John Standard has the added benefits of a rosewood fretboard (+£39), painted headstock (+£79), PJD Hiscox case (+£99) and a really stunning purple nitro over 3 Tone Sunburst finish with light relic (+£299).
It is the only purple with matching headstock St. John PJD have produced so far (out of around 2000 made to date overall).
The guitar left PJD on 9th September 2024 and has barely been touched, so is as new.
It is fitted with a PJD Parkins Cream P90 and a Wadfather Zebra Coil Humbucker. These scatter hand wound pickups provide a huge dynamic range with a clear and expressive voice.
The lightweight Obeche body is resonant and musical, which makes long stints on stage, practicing or in the studio comfortable. The maple nec features a silk screen decal, drilled truss rod access and tinted lacquer for a vintage inspired aesthetic. There is a dual pickup route at the neck position which means you can opt for a P90 or humbucker.
It comes with its papers (quality assurance checklist and registration card).
