These vintage MIJ (Made in Japan) Tokais from the "golden age" are praised for their excellent build quality, close resemblance to the Gibsons they emulate, and great vintage tone. They are incredibly well-built instruments, delivering that classic SG tone and feel, and often considered superior to contemporary Gibsons in build.
It features a mahogany body and neck, rosewood board with block inlays, original Tokai '57 PAF pickups, harmonica bridge and 50s "C” neck profile.
It is in really good condition considering it is over 40 years old. It shows a few dings to the finish most visibly one just below the scratchplate, but otherwise just the regular play wear you’d expect from a vintage guitar from this era.
It’s just been professionally set up with 10-46 strings and the frets fully dressed so it’s playing great and ready to rock.
